longest reign of any French or other major European monarch. He was
born in 1638.
Louis XIV is a French furniture style of rounded forms and curved

The construction, during his reign, of The Chateau de Versailles is one
of the largest and most extravagant monuments in Europe.
Masks, heads of sphinxes and satyrs were all included among the
